History

The PTC (Philips Homecomputer Club) was an Dutch association founded by Philips in 1985 to promote their P2000 and MSX home computers in the Netherlands. Philips sponsored the PTC by bearing most of the organisation cost and providing equipment for evaluation and offering subsidised products to the clubs members.

The association also published a club magazine, PTC Print.

Philips stopped their involvement in late 1994 when they stopped with the computer business, and the group merged with the PCC and renamed themselves Personal ThuisComputer Club (PTCC).
