History
FutureDIsk started in 1992 by Koen Dols and Dennis Lardenoye on a MCL club meeting with a focus on reviewing Japanese games and as a kind of club magazine for MSX Club Limburg (MCL). However, due to lack of cooperation from MCL, the FutureDisk crew decided to split and founded S.T.U.F.F. as the publisher for the FutureDisks.
Initially the focus of the magazine was on Japan, with reviews of Japanese games and Manga, and roughly transcribed game stories of games like Snatcher, Xak and Illusion City. When the Japanese market collapsed, the focus was shifted to the local MSX scene by reviewing scene products and magazines.
S.T.U.F.F. took over the members of Quasar, Golden Power Disk and Sunrise Magazine when those parties quit their magazine activities, making FutureDisk the longest lasting MSX disk magazine with the largest member base. This was also reflected in the English section, as the magazine was popular in non-Dutch countries like Spain as well.
