Introduction
Demo disk released in October 1990 by the BCF team. Was also sold as MCM Public Domain disk B32.
This second Disk Station has support for PSG, MSX-MUSIC and MSX-AUDIO. It includes a few hidden parts.
Some parts use a RAM version of the runtime compiler X-BASIC (file STATIONE.008 with CALL SPEED IN and CALL SPEED OUT as replacements for CALL TURBO ON and CALL TURBO OFF). The final part of The Warp demo uses CompileBGM BASIC.
Content
Intro 1
Just after a very simple frequency selector, you can see a new version of the BCF logo in screen 7.
Intro 2
As for Disk Station 1, a nice picture in screen 8 with 2 changes: an animation is included and the c of the Compile Disc Stations has been replaced by a k.
Menu
The menu in screen 5 has kept the design of the previous edition. No real surprise here, except that a game is included on this Disk Station!
Snout Demo 2
We stay in screen 5 for the second episode of the adventures of Snout the elephant, the BCF mascot. It has problems with termites, a sinusoidal apple and his MSX4 computer. The repairer disappears inside the machine and Snout decides to destroy some Amiga computers. This demo has been created by Sander Strootman.
Block 4
A game in screen 7 developed by Koert van Mensvoort, it's a variant of Tetris.
Vector Balls Demo
Another part created by Koert van Mensvoort, inspired by similar demos on Amiga machines. It is in screen 5 and includes interactivity on the helicopter animation.
The Warp
The first contribution of Dennis Lodewijks to the BCF history. It's the story of Mike Burton who has problems with his spaceship in the ultraspace and dies in a black hole. This demo in screen 5 has an intro, a scroll part with flashing background and an impressive part with the final fate of Mike Burton in the black hole.
BCF Multicopier
Probably an addition to the BCF Tools. It's a disk copy utility for MSX2 created by Koert van Mensvoort. It uses the VRAM and the Memory Mapper for a faster result, especially if you want to make several copies.
Public Domain
Nothing special here, it's just the list of the BCF Public Domain products, including two Clubguide Picturedisks.
BCF Info
Back to school with Snout for this short info in screen 5 about BCF and the contents of the disk!
Hidden parts
Alternative BCF Logos
When you are on the frequency selector screen, press one of these keys: 2, 3 or 4 to start the disk with an alternative BCF logo. If you press the "1" key, you'll get the 'standard' logo of this edition.
BCF Multicolor Logo Demo
To see this hidden demo in screen 5, you need to boot while pressing ESC+RETURN. A creation of Dennis Lodewijks.
