Introduction

Diskmagazine created by the Nederlandse MSX Club and released in December 1991.

Tips:

  • This diskmagazine has an intro with music in the FAC Soundtracker 1 format and is followed by a hardware report (that fails with the available disk image - the REPORT2.PIC file seems to be corrupted)
  • Only MSX-MUSIC is supported, even in the Impact Mirror Scroll demo (version with MSX-AUDIO detection is available on Clubguide Picturedisk 11)
  • All the TXT files are plain ASCII text files

Notes:

  • Mirror Scroll: It is possible to enjoy a great stereo mode (MSX-AUDIO + MSX-MUSIC), you just need to replace the FST.BIN driver by STL2.BIN (driver used in STL 2.11 created by C.S.I and E.M.P.). However, you must delete the existing MIRROR.BIN file and rename STL2.BIN as MIRROR.BIN.
  • No Fuss Promo: It's the third promo of No Fuss, the second ANMA game. This promo works only on MSX2 and higher, but the game is also for MSX1.

Note: Besides the MUS, SM1 and SM2 files, Impact uses MDT files to bypass the FAC Soundtracker limitation to 6 octaves by changing the default octave settings of some instruments, being this way able to use the 8 octaves available in the soundchips.

You can optionally put these files on a dedicated FAC Soundtracker 1 music disk.

For more tips about this format, check the FAC Music Disk 1 Wiki page, especially to play the songs on MSX1.

  • Details about all the Pro-Tracker songs on NMC Disk 1

One PRO file is available on this disk: ITSONYOU.PRO, written by Gransoft. The original version for SCC was created by Fony.

See Pro Tracker page for more info.
