Description

Computer

The PHC-70FD2 is a computer released on the Japanese market by Sanyo. While this computer is an all in one, the floppy disk drives are placed facing the user.

Compared to the PHC-70FD, the Ren-Sha Turbo and pause keys were replaced with a 2nd floppy drive, and the Kanji-ROM supports both JIS1 & 2.

This computer is usually called Wavy70FD2 in Japan.

Firmware

This machine features a slightly modified version of the run-time basic compiler X-BASIC / MSX-BASIC KUN 2.0 built-in.

To enable it and be able to use CALL RUN and CALL TURBO ON/OFF, you must type CALL BC beforehand.

Floppy disks

Two floppy disks were provided with this computer:

- the first disk contains MSX-DOS1

- the second disk contains a demo with three parts and two modes (automatic/manual):

To exit from the demo, press on CTRL+STOP
