Introduction

Jorito aka. SoundWave (Jorrith Schaap, 1976) is a hobby composer, writer and organiser who started with MSX in 1988. At first the main activities were mainly playing games, but somewhere around 1993 he entered the MSX scene.

After fiddling around with the FM-Pac and Pro Tracker, he decided to take the plunge and volunteer as a composer for the well known Dutch disk magazine FutureDisk. His first contributions were on FutureDisk 10, and over the years a lot of disk magazines, quite a few games and 2 music disks followed. He also was the composer of game and demo group Hegega.

From 1996 to 2001 he studied Humanities Computing at the Rijksuniversiteit Groningen, the Netherlands . When the studies were finished, he worked in the Internet sector in various jobs, mostly development and project management.

He occasionally creates some MSX productions nowadays, but is mostly working on remakes of MSX games. In January 2009 he became an MRC crew member and created the new msx.org site that was released in 2011. Lately he has been spotted while adding new features and writing news posts to www.msx.org.
