The Toshiba HX-M200 is a Kanji-ROM Level 1 (JIS1) cartridge released in 1984. It contains 3511 characters: 2965 Kanji characters, 453 special characters and 93 normal characters.

It is identical to the Victor HS-R6001 Kanji-ROM.

The insertion of this cartridge in a free slot is required to launch the Japanese Word Processor (JWP) of the HX-S501 software, also built in the following computers:

• Toshiba HX-21 (only the Japanese version)
• Toshiba HX-22 (only the Japanese version)
• Toshiba HX-23 (version 2.5 of the JWP)
• Toshiba HX-23F (version 2.5 of the JWP)
• Toshiba HX-31 (version 2.2 of the JWP)
