Description
It's a MSX-DOS 1 tool created by Arnould Jagerman for the Philips NMS 1250 modem. A MSX2 or higher computer is required.
You can find it on the disk corresponding to MSX Club Magazine 28 in the compressed file YMODEM14.ARC
Command
Effect
Launches a terminal program enabling to transfer files using the Xmodem and Ymodem protocols.
Syntax
YMODEM
Usage
This command does not take parameters.
Useful keys:
- A = Make connection to another modem
- B = CAll the BBS selected with the cursors
- C = Change general settings: loudspeaker, beep, automatic hanging, logfile status (LOGBOEK.TXT and LOGBOEK.BAK), contents of function keys, download drive, upload drive, logfile drive, questions to save logfile, redial time
- D = List contents of directory
- I = Save the general settings in the INSTEL.INI file (after C key)
- O = Wait for call from another modem
- R = Call a series of BBS (you need to enter manually the phone numbers)
- S = Save the BBS list in the BBSFILE.INI file
- W = Modify the data and settings for the BBS selected with the cursors: name, phone number, baud rates, protocol, inlog text, linking
- ESC = Quit YMODEM
- GRAPH + A = ASCII Upload
- GRAPH + C = Change general settings
- GRAPH + D = Display directory
- GRAPH + E = Change echo
- GRAPH + H = Toggle main screen / help screen
- GRAPH + I = Send inlog text
- GRAPH + K = Xmodem -1k Upload
- GRAPH + L = Logfile enable / disable
- GRAPH + O = Disconnect
- GRAPH + T = Online time display
- GRAPH + U = Xmodem Upload
- GRAPH + X = Xmodem (-1k) Download
- GRAPH + Y = Ymodem Download
- F10 = Stop / Reset XOFF reception
